The results are in. Carnegie Mellon ranked 21st in the Times Higher Education 2011-12 World University Rankings. The report is based on 13 performance indicators-ranging from teaching to research to global outlook-and ranks hundreds of universities worldwide. Carnegie Mellon placed ahead of two Ivy League schools (Brown and Dartmouth) in the overall rankings and jumped to 12th place in the worldwide rankings for the top engineering and technology schools.
