Carnegie Mellon is among 25 urban colleges and universities in the United States named to Dr. Evan Dobelle's "Saviors of Our Cities" list, released in August. Dobelle, president of the New England Board of Higher Education, says these 25 best neighbors "have dramatically strengthened the economy and quality of life of their neighboring communities."
