Thought, a new undergraduate research journal managed entirely by students, debuted in May to promote and publish undergraduate research within the university. A student team from various disciplines will produce an issue each semester.

Kimberly Kicielinski (S'06) took her work on a new drug for the treatment of renal cell (kidney) cancer to the American Association of Cancer Research in April. Kimberly worked on benzaldehyde dimethane sulfonate (BEN) in Dr. Merrill Egorin's Molecular Therapeutics and Drug Discovery Lab at the Hillman Cancer Center of the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center.
