A Fulbright scholarship has been awarded to Justin Hakuta (HS'04), for field study in the Philippines on human trafficking. "I am interested in pursuing a career in human rights investigation," the decision science major said.
After the tsunami disaster, Heinz School alumna Emily Eelman (HNZ'05) went to Sri Lanka through Carnegie Mellon’s Technology Consulting in the Global Community program. Emily worked with the YMCA Service Club in Dehiwala, creating their financial record-keeping database and designing a website to share donor information.
