When Homaira Akbari enters Tepper's MBA program with a doctorate in particle physics already under her belt, the combination is an unusual one. Now that she is CEO of SkyBitz, a satellite-based service provider that helps trucking and government entities track their mobile assets, Akbari's choice proves to have been much more than an educated guess. Under her leadership, SkyBitz is creating more robust tech solutions for an expanding client base. The Washington Business Journal has recognized Akbari (TPR'96) with a Women Who Mean Business award.
