Swinging a sword is a workout. Add holding a shield and it becomes tougher still. Unless you're wielding everything with your thumbs while playing the medieval combat video game Ethereal, a project pitched and led by a Carnegie Mellon ETC student Dan Driscoll (CMU'11). To support Ethereal's development, GameSpy Technology, responsible for technology in many popular games, selected Team Ethereal as one of just five teams for its Indie Open House. The six-month residency provides Team Ethereal with office space, technology, consultation, and online support.
