Networking News

Professional Networking is top of mind for many Carnegie Mellon alumni. The Office of Alumni Relations has introduced more robust online tools to help make networking easier for our alumni and students. The new Online Career Center features links to a number of free services for job seekers, job posters, and those curious about changing professions:

  • The Alumni Career Advisor Network (ACAN) facilitates alumni-to-alumni and alumni-to-student mentoring. ACAN users complete a profile that captures not only current employment detail, but also past positions and the type of advising users want to provide (early, midlevel, or executive). This module is currently open for populating profiles of career advisors; search capability will launch at the end of June.
  • A job-posting and resume-posting service featuring listings from more than 75 colleges and universities around the country through our Online Community.
  • Expanded job listings, search agent emails, and resume management for mid- and senior-level executives through eProNet. The service features targeted recruitment of alumni from a select number of top universities.
