A teenager stares almost in a trance at a dazzling array of colorful geometric figures on his phone. With a quick flick of his thumbs, a row of blue triangles lines up then magically disappears. He is just one of the gamers immersed in "Bejeweled," the flagship title of PopCap Games, which has sold more than 50 million units. The company, founded in 2000, is the maker of some of the world's most popular video games, which have been downloaded more than 1 billion times by consumers worldwide. Frits Haberman (CS'87) has recently taken the reins as chief technology officer.
