Although France boasts more than 50 active nuclear power plants, its neighbor Germany has decided to close all of its nuclear power plants by 2022. John Cooper wants to know why; the 2010 Carnegie Mellon graduate in History and German just received a 2011 German Chancellor Fellowship from the Alexander von Humboldt Foundation to spend a year in Germany studying its position on Kernkraft (nuclear power) and the dynamics of the country’s Green political party.
